Beginning with CloudPanel 3.2.335.0 you can now export PST’s directly from CloudPanel and have them store in a network path that Exchange has access to.
CloudPanel does not currently provide you a way to download the PST directly through the browser due to the size of some of the files. In order to access the PST’s you must provide access to the file share some other way. This feature is suggested to be only used for help desk personnel and not a feature meant for the customer.
In order to setup this you must first:
- Create a network share that Microsoft Exchange has access to (Add Exchange Trusted Subsystem to have share permissions and NTFS permissions)
- Configure the share path in the setup page of CloudPanel under Microsoft Exchange:
Watching the progress
There are multiple ways to watch the progress of the export so you will know it is finished. While the export is running you will have an icon next to the user indicating that an export is running:
Another way is to expand the user to see details or clicking on the user, then email and then PST Export’s tab.
